Devon is growing up so fast. In the last month he has started pulling up on everything & got 2 more teeth (4 total). I think we'll be lucky if he makes it to his first birthday before he takes his first step. It's hard to believe he has been with us 11 months already and yet at the same time it seems as though he has been with us forever.

Devon had his 9 month old Pediatrican visit on August 1st. He is 19.6 lbs (50%) 28 1/2 inches long (25%) and very healthy. He only had to get one shot which is much better then the 4 he used to get. By the time he relaized he had been poked the nurse had then bandage on and was headed out the door. Devon is doing really well with his army crawl - moving around the house quite quickly now. He also seems to enjoy his 2 teeth - he loves to rub his tounge or lower lip over them - and we are now venturing into the world of finger foods. We have also puchased a small food mill to help him adjust to eating what we eat, and to cut back on the amount of money we spend on Gerber baby food. We are loving our Little Dude and enjoying watching him grow.

Devon had his 6 month check up, weighting in at 16.5 lbs and 26.5 inches long. He has started on solids and is loving everything, except the creamed spinach. But who can blame him? He is sitting up on his own, albeit a little wobbly, and his full belly giggles are a favorite.

Devon is 7 months old wow.

During his sixth month, Devon has started eating rice cereal (wearing is closer to the truth), and can roll over in both directions during tummy time. He is quite alert and responsive, and a very happy boy overall.

Devon started his 3rd month at 9lbs. 9oz. and 23 inches long. He is long and skinny (50th percentile for height, 10th percentile for weight, and 5th percentile for head size. He received his first set of immunizations, started sleeping 5-6 hours at night, and was blessed this month. Also meet Grandpa Mickelson and Aunt Teala for the first time (they came up for his blessing).

Devon's 2nd month was much quiter then his first. with no vistors he got a chance to bond with mom and dad. He did attend church for the first time, slept through his first Christmas morning and started smiling.

It's amazing how much Devon grew & changed in his first month of life. He got to meet Grandma Mickelson, Grandpa Hart, & Grandma Morgan. He also practiced our favorite face which we call his "O" face, there are a couple of good photos of it in the album. At 3 weeks he was finally past birth weight at a whoppign 6lbs. 10 oz. We are pretty sure he made it to 7 lbs. by months end but he is stilla very little guy relative to most "average" babies.
