The trim around this door and sidelight was a little tricky. There were a lot of different pieces that had to sit flush with each other, so rather than trying to install them individually, I assembled the entire unit using pocket screws and installed it as one piece. I finished it off by painting the door and replacing the hardware to match the rest of the interior. Click on the first image above for a detailed walkthrough, using "Next page" to advance.

The front yard had been landscaped with a busy japanese style that we would like to simplify and add some grass. We would like to straighten the driveway out and reclaim some of the eastern front and side yard currently lost to the slope by adding a retaining wall. We hope to open up the side yard and add space for occaisional parking (guest, utility trailer, etc.)

The backyard has been untouched, all natural if you will. We would like to replace the existing deck, add a stone patio, a dog run, and a play structure. The property line ends at the creek, since we can't run a fence through the creek, we are trying to purchase 8 more feet from the church behind us and place a fence on the far side of the creek.
