Out with the OLD in with the NEW....

Cutest Baby Butt in the World!Well 2006 has flown by and we are already half way into January of 2007. Time is flying by in the Hart household. Devon went from cruising to walking to climbing in very quick succession, and has been wearing both his mom & dad out as they try to keep up with him. He has kept us so busy that I've had very little time to post to the website. However I think I have finally gotten caught back up. I finally posted Birthday Photos, Hawaii Photos, and even a few current photos of our little dude. 2nd year Photos There are also Christmas Photos of Devon and his new set of wheels. Luckily December was fairly quiet except for Darren installing new windows and ripping out our master shower to start on my laundry closet, and the front walk up to our house being ripped out to make way for our new front porch.

We have been very busy already in 2007 with the remodel. Remodel We had four fir trees removed - lifted over our house with a 9-ton crane. Very fun to watch - check out the video's. Darren has also been working on the plumbing for the new master bath & the new laundry closet. Which means a lot of time under the house in our icky crawlspace in the cold weather. Our contractor will be starting on Wednesday the 17th. He will be framing & roofing our new front porch and back gable/deck. He will also be re-siding the house (I'm so excited). Of course then comes the sweat equity (mostly Darren's) of all the finish carpentry, decking, detailing, & trim. I'm going to help by getting out of the way and taking Devon with me - we'll make a trip to see family so dad can get some work done. Although I get to put some sweat equity into landscaping as we now have a plan we love that should keep me busy for the next 10 years.

Devon has made the whole process very interesting because he loves the remodeling and wants to be right at the front line with Darren making things happen. He cries whenever Darren goes to work in the crawlspace because he wants to go to. He got a squeaky hammer for his birthday which he runs around the house with hammering everything. We even found him one day trying to steal Darren's cordless drill, unfortunately for him (fortunately for mom & dad), it was to heavy for him to pick up. Darren & I spent a good 10 minutes laughing as we watched Devon in deep concentration (& determination) trying to figure out how to get that drill picked up, he almost got it too.

The new year has been good to us and is keeping us busy. Be sure to check back for updated photos of the on-going remodel and maybe even some of our favorite little dude.
